Border to Border Communications, Inc. (B2B) is a certificated local exchange carrier providing slow speed broadband service within its exchange and surrounding areas in south Texas at the Mexico border near Laredo. B2B’s office is located in Zapata, Texas and currently provides long distance and wireline voice to all of its exchange area and low speed DSL and fixed wireless service to areas where economical.

The ReConnect loan/grant will provide B2B with the opportunity to provide broadband service to 1,271 customers in the community and surrounding rural areas inside the exchange area under one PFSA. The ReConnect application includes 341 miles of buried fiber using both Active Ethernet and GPON FTTH electronics. Receiving loan/grant funding will allow B2B to service a much needed part of the county with high speed broadband service.
