Carnegie Telephone Company, Inc. (Carnegie) is a certificated local exchange carrier providing broadband service to its two exchanges in west central Oklahoma. Carnegie’s headquarters is located in Carnegie, Oklahoma and they currently provide long distance and wireline voice to all of its exchange areas and high speed broadband service to areas where economical.

The ReConnect loan will provide Carnegie the opportunity to provide broadband service to 745 customers in rural areas inside the two PFSAs outside the telephone boundaries. The placement of cable to the rural areas will help Carnegie improve broadband service to many customers within the exchanges as well. The ReConnect application includes 13 miles of aerial and 10 miles of buried fiber with GPON FTTH electronics. Receiving loan funding will allow Carnegie to provide high speed broadband service to needed areas outside the exchange boundaries.
