The overall objective of the project is to upgrade the backhaul, middle and last mile facilities to provide broadband speeds to the remote Alaska community of Gustavus. The project will install a tower and upgrade the backhaul links to the internet while replacing the wireless middle mile facilities to create an all-fiber last mile network. The changes will provide modern technology to provide a continuous, reliable highspeed network to the 11 essential facilities, residents and business within Gustavus.
