Program Information

The Rural eConnectivity Pilot Program (ReConnect Program) was established by the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2018 and provided $600 million for a new federal loan and grant program.
This program is administered by the USDA Rural Utilities Service and aims to facilitate broadband service expansion throughout the rural, underserved areas.

The ReConnect program consisted of three separate funding options. Applicants could apply for a 100% grant, 50% grant and 50% loan or a 100% loan. Each of these had $200 million dollars available for award.

There will be a second round of applications that is planned to be announced in a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) in January 2020. The FOA will establish application guidelines and submission deadlines.

Monte R. Lee assisted multiple clients with applications for all three funding categories during the initial ReConnect application cycle. For anyone interested in applying during the second round in early 2020, MRL is available to provide all levels of application assistance.

Please visit the ReConnect Website and ReConnect Awardees for more information.
